there is no ultimate programming language. each language has its advantages and disadvantages. it depends on the task you want to accomplish and your knowledge. do you need high performance? is independence relevant? portability? scalability? time for development?

I like Java. I like Python. but considering I only know 2 languages, I am not prepared to declare them "the best" ...

*Update - I am well underway with c# now as well. Thanks to knowing Java, c# is very simple. it also bumps Java into 3rd place for me. Python>c#>Java
