What's the best language to learn after Python?

In order to learn a programming language at a decent level, you need to spend one to two years. Take a few Python courses here (beginner, intermediate, and developer), then move on to further learning. Find an in-depth course with practical exercises that will take you 1-2 months of intensive study on other platforms.

Depends upon your field of interest. If you want to learn -
*web go for HTML+CSS+JavaScript, then learn the frameworks.
*APP Dev go for Java/kotlin(Android), Swift(iOS).
*AI go with Rust
*Game dev go with close to low level language like C,CPP,JAVA.

In short there is nothing called a best language to learn its always what you want to perform and learn accordingly.

I wana learn programming now because I have plenty of free time and in the future I want to get a job in this sector. Also I wana make some hobbyist projects to showcase. I'm currently doing the fundamentals course on here and I think I will take up Python beginners course next.

Well, it depends on your goals. Python is the easiest programming language, but other languages open different doors for you. Here below are some programming language courses that may help you:
1. JavaScript
2. Java
3. C/C++

JavaScript is my second preference because it runs in all browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Edge. After Python, JavaScript is the second easiest language. These days JavaScript is also in very high demand and is also good for a long-term career.

Java is my third preference because Java programming is mostly used in banks, e-commerce, and enterprise software companies. Java is a bit more complex than Python, and it also has high-demand jobs.

The last one is C/C++. C is basically for system-level programming and efficiency, whereas C++ adds more software design.

Try C then C++ then as per your interest you can go with anything or if you want you can go with your interests first if that pleases you!!
