Can we make a non gaming app using game engine?

I want to make a non-gaming app using a unreal game engine. I am using game engine because it can create superb gralhics for the app and that too is interactable and with great animations in my app.

what makes game different with any other software other than the intention from the developer ? none (i think).. you can write console based tic tac toe and its still a game. i even once use software made with rpg maker xp, it may not the best but it still software in its own capacity. but still, its from 2d game engine intended for RPG game. so yeah, most likely you can. but consider.. does it really worth it ? if it is, go ahead

Hey, diving into this got me thinking about my own experiments with tech, and I actually tried building a little interactive portfolio once using Unreal just to see how far I could push visuals and fluid animations—check out something similar here: https://tower-x.in/ - At first, it felt a bit overkill since Unreal is obviously built for games, but the freedom to sculpt scenes and add subtle physics really blew my mind, even for a “non-gaming” experience. What I realized is that the engine thrives when you treat it like a playground—light effects, dynamic UIs, small interactive elements make the app feel alive in ways regular frameworks can’t touch. It’s a bit heavy on resources, but if your goal is immersive visuals and that wow factor, it’s totally worth experimenting with Unreal beyond traditional gaming boundaries.
