Mobile app development
Hello there, I’m new to the programming field and need some tips on how to get started with the courses which will be useful for mobile app development(android and ios both). So as I have already started learning python, I got to know that java is the programming language needed for mobile app development. But I was told before to learn one of the programming languages. And that’s why I got along with python. So as java is the one needed for mobile app development, should I stop learning python and switch to java? Or should I learn all the programming languages?(php, python, ruby, java, swift etc.) Need a brief description about these programming languages to understand what’s suitable and what’s not.

Android: Java/Kotlin
iOS: Swift/Objective-C
You may finish the Python course before you begin Java. It is entirely up to you.

If you’re new to programming and want to build mobile apps, it’s best to start with one language that matches your goal. For Android development, Java or Kotlin is commonly used. For iOS apps, Swift is the main programming language. You don’t need to learn every language like Python, Ruby, or PHP—just pick the one that helps you build the type of app you want. Python is great for learning the basics, but for real mobile app development, focusing on Java/Kotlin (Android) or Swift (iOS) is more practical. Later, you can also explore cross-platform options like Flutter or React Native to build apps for both platforms faster.
