(answer was too long so here's some more options) freelance website/app design business: similar to contracting on web project but working on your own for clients who don't necessarily have any idea of how any technology works - basically you make it known to shop owners or businesses/people who might want to pay for a website or app to advertise to or help retain their customers, talk to a bunch and make their stuff for a price you quote them and agree before the project starts. Just offering websites is difficult and I'd not recommend because you are up against: bigger agencies offering more services and seeming more professional, Do It Yourself web site design tools that are getting really easy and far cheaper to make simple sites in like wix, attitudes like "can't I just have a Facebook page instead?", and also people not understanding how a completely bespoke and well designed website can take the time it takes to build (and therefore the cost you will have to charge to earn reasonable wage). Websites could be a way for getting initial customers to then sell bespoke apps to, but only if those clients understand the value of apps. The apps could be for helping them run their business more effectively, or for customers to interact with (helping the business be more modern and trendy, and useful to their customers). Your own start up. You think of a great idea or some great ideas for an app or website that would be useful or fun for people, choose a way of getting paid for it, and start building it. Often it is necessary to release some version that you can make money off as soon as possible to cut down the time when you are developing but not earning. Ways of making money of your own project include: ads, paid downloads (app stores take a cut of each paid download), crowdfunding campaign, subscriptions or a PayPal donate button.

I think there is no direct answer. if any one learn this stuff only for earning money then think again. because u try to learn fast, so u can't learn properly. be patience and learn properly until u gain enough qualifications and excellence. then money and job will search u, and u can earn as long as u work.

another answer connected to the own start up option I already mentioned, is to be a "technical co-founder" of a startup. Basically you work in collaboration with someone who has a great business idea but doesn't have the technical skills required to build it, where you create what they have imagined (with your additions and improvements) and they take care of the business side of things. Also some people make money from technology by teaching others: as a paid speaker at events, as a university lecturer or selling books. I remember reading somewhere that the guy who made the jQuery framework John Resig, could make some nice money despite jQuery being free just by being a popular speaker at JavaScript/web development events - now teaches with Kahn academy and by the sounds of his about page on his website he can pick and choose what conferences he talks at

here's a list of answers in no particular order: contracting - work on someone elses project for weeks or months then when it finishes/you're not needed you look for another contract or do one of the other options - usually contractors are taken on to plug in a skill gap or shortage for a team or helping a project meet it's deadline. employment (with various titles that have different meanings: software developer, web development, front-end developer, back-end developer, web designer, project manager) - there are a variety of types of companies that hire people with these skills: some who's whole business revolves around one app or product that was their founders idea (the classic "internet startup"), some who make lots of smaller apps and websites for specific niches, some who make apps or websites or both for other companies (software/web development houses), some who's business isn't anything to do with selling software but they employ a department/team/person who makes any software that is important to the business to their exact business needs so they have a competitive edge over rivals and have complete control over the software and when it gets updated.
