Question

Hi, guys! My name is Yago, I’m from Brazil and I’m interested in learning python to tasks automation. Actually, I’m not seeing a lot of job opportunities about this on LinkedIn.

Could some of you tell me if are there opportunities in this area? I’m not from tech department, so for this reason I’m asking here. I know there are a lot of application in my area (HR), but I want to know more about other areas or even other companies. Thank you!

Yes, but maybe not in a way u think. Obviously there are no specifically "selenium bot automation" jobs out there. But there are fields where things like selenium are used. As such, QA and automated testing. Of course there are more unethical applications (including jobs) that could utilise these tools to create social media bots and such.

So yes, there are opportunities where that is needed, but permanent positions in legit companies would usually require a well rounded specialist, not just someone who works on this specific thing (since its quite a narrow specialty with limited applications). Ur best bet to find something this specific would be freelance.
