Why is this simple async function not showing console??

You're not seeing the console log because:-

i) you didn't call the function
ii) you named it fetch, which overrides the built-in fetch()

Sorry guys it was my silly i accidently mixed filed and didn't realize those things you mentioned and I realized after posting this... even forgot I posted this lol thanks though
