Backlighting, keyboard stroke and feel are all matters of personal preference. What one person likes another does not. Some people prefer a mechanical keyboard - the majority of cheap mass produced keyboards are membrane keyboards. There are also different layouts available. Use what you like and can afford - high quality mechanical keyboards can cost hundreds of dollars.
