But I'd suggest you to use Sublime.. It has a good UI and can be used for other programming languages as well.. I am also a beginner at HTML, and i loved using Sublime. Give it a try👍

But now popular IDE is VSCode (Visual Studio Code)...
VSCode work on Windows, Linux, Mac.
Notepad++ just work on Windows.
both can predict your code & identify many language types.
to me notepad++ is strong but it's a best editor for work with Data and change group file in a time. But VSCode is a best light editor that have a great support...

The only problem with visual studio it that it needs to download some other files and it costs up to 33.something GB's
