'Lurk' on the forum for a while to see how experienced users ask questions. Search the forum first to see if someone has already asked the same question and got an answer. You can mention where you've looked so far. Do try Google . Don't ask a general question - make it about a specific coding problem. Show the forum what you've tried so far and the results you got and say what result you are trying to get. Make sure you thank people who answer your question, or at least give their answer an upvote. Mark a 'best answer' of the forum has that feature. If you figure out the answer yourself, tell the forum so people don't keep trying to find you an answer. Read their rules, if they have any, e.g. https://stackoverflow.com/help https://www.sololearn.com/Content-Creation-Guidelines Also, you might want to check this out https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/333866/?ref=app
