Is the development of wordpress a success ...? Or is it better to use django or RoR ...?

Nothing in the world is Neither good nor bad. Everything has it's own advantages. Coming to the question. WordPress is great for static websites. But for dynamic websites you have to use Web development frameworks like django or flask etc. So learn both one after the other. Nothing is wrong with learning new things right. :)
