Private codes are NOT really private, are they?!

Why when I save the code as private, it can still be visible for others?! I mean isn't anywhere I can save my really private codes!! Coz I really feel embarrassed when others can view my simple and so basic codes!! I'm just a beginner and I sometimes like to write some codes and save them, so that later I can come back and see how much I've learned! Thanks in advance, and sorry for tooooo much texting!! 😁😊

If your codes are private, nobody can view them unless you explicitly share a link to your private codes.

Private codes are private, it stays that way until you choose to give others access to it, for example by posting its link somewhere. Without a link given, no one except the SoloLearn admins can access the content. And I believe they are not doing it unless there is a valid reason to, i.e. codes that contains things that violates the guidelines. There is zero need of embarrassment about writing codes, no matter how simple or basic you think they are. On the contrary, you get a chance for a suggestion, improvement tips, or correction from your code viewers. And one thing for sure, everyone had done writing simple codes in their early journey of coding, so it is no biggie. P.S. May I suggest to add 'SoloLearn Code-Playground' in your Relevant Tags? this question is related with SoloLearn 😁

Ipang Thanks a lot for the explanation and also for the motivation. I'll share my codes when I learn more! 😊 And about the tagging, sure I will. Thanks again

Because your codes can be accessed using the link, and the link might be constant, then it seems that SoloLearn generates some random code in the link, my private code has 12 random characters with upper and lower case characters and numbers. This means that users have: f(x) = x / 62^12 chance to find your code, when x is the amount of tries, and the users don't try previous combinations. 62 ^ 12 = 3226266762397899821056 1 / 62 ^ 12 ~ 000000000000000000003% chance for an user to find your code by the first try.

I think that if you make a comment on a private code, it effectively makes the code publically accessible to other users via the comment.
