I highly recommend PhpMmyAdmin for it is very (even for beginners) easy to use. You won't hassle with writing SQL queries as there's a UI to accomplish almost everything related to database creation, modification, data injection, deletion...etc. Btw, you just have to create one database for all the costmers and not vise versa.
