What is the different between <br> and <br /> for break?

I thought there are the same!

<br>, unlike <p>, is a so called 'void element' and doesn't need a closing tag. It doesn't even need to be self-closing (<br />) in HTML5.

Yes there is no need of <br/> instead we can write <br>
