why is java an object oriented language?

Because the Java language is coded in the way that it simulates real life objects states and behavior. Such programming languages are commonly known as object-oriented languages.

there is a concept of real life object in it and also the main reason is that is is based on PIE(polymorphism,inheritance,encapsulation)
