As history shows, Java was developed out of C, and C# was developed to catch Java Developers, Android is a direct derived of Java, just to mention a few languages related to Java. A better but more ambiguous answer would be that any programming language under the Object Oriented Programming structure should be appealing for you to learn, it only depends on the purpose of your project and the strengths and "weaknesses" of the language of choice. Good luck Cibino.

C++ is a fast, challenging language with many similarities and some differences from Java. It does use OOP. C# is the most similar to Java, I don’t know it, but from what I’ve heard, it is very close to both C++ and Java.
