Java in web actually? (Sorry for my bad English)

Hello, I started teach Java, and I wondered, for server it is actually, or greater php or something else? thank you for your time:)

Yes Java can be used for the server processing but to handle these tasks Php is more commonly used.But don't forget that most of the supercomputers are programmed in Java.It is on the top for 2 decades and I think it can have its position high for 3 decades more!
