Should you learn computer science if you want to be a front end developer?

When I first started learning about building sites i just learned about html css but thats about it. But now I think I should have started with a CS course first, thoughts?

html css js angular js , jquery.. you have to learn much more to master front end..same goes for back end php c++ etc

I learn programming even before knowing computer science
You don't need to learn how to plant and grow a fruit right before eating it, right?
