Do I have to know the basic Html to learn Java script or those are completely separated kinds of languages?

yeah ,,,,want to be a web designer...then know html and css ,,its true you can create a website without javascript ,,,but there wont be some things to handle like forms input/events...it wont be a good user experience:-)

they're different, but for their purpose of use, you should learn HTML first, Then Javascript for manipulating the HTML through many ways

You're welcome :) having a good base at html and css makes everything easier to just work with Javascript later
