I'm confused

hello I'm mohamad from Iran, I'm studying computer engineering in university, I want learn to code but whenever I want to start sb tells me why would learn to code while now days there are lots of free templates and prepared code on the internet, if you learn to code you're just wasting your time, I don't know what to do
