AI just defines ANY way of a digital algorithm based solution finding. A hardcoded decision tree would be AI, too. ML is a special way of creating AI.. The main aspects are: 1. ML based solutions improve over time. They can learn and be trained over time. 2. In ML you don't decide (you don't even know) how the machine solves the problem - you only provide a model to train on. The art of ML is to create a good model.
