I Just got a book called “The C Programming Language”

My question is: Do you think this is Ok to start in programming World? Or do i need some other basic introductory Literature?

Programming is like alphabets of English. You don't need to know anything already to learn it.

C is both useful and instructive. Many other languages use a similar syntax and many would say it is a good place to start.
