Can I create simple games using Android phone?

Question

I've downloaded 2 Android based IDE apps called Anacode & Creative IDE and was wondering if I can use them to create simple 2d games. This question may have been asked already but I couldn't find any relevant answers. If anyone have any helpful info please share. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link @David Ashton. There are some useful platforms to work with mentioned in the article. Unfortunately, I no longer have my computer and looking for alternatives that I can use with my phone
