Course or self study for programming?

I want build in future a my app or game, using c++ and other languages. I need a course or only my will to learn and exercices alone with forum, sololearn, etc? Thanks for tips

As qwerty said, I'm more of a solo learner. Pun intended. ;) From my experience, I've mostly done self-learning, but I've been to school also. For me, school is too slow paced and it drives me crazy that something gets spread out over years when it could be done in months instead. Knowledge is knowledge regardless of how you obtain it or if you pay for it. For this stuff, you're basically just paying a school to tell you to read a book; you already know how to read a book. Just look up courses on a university website, and then Google resources for the courses and read the associated books/resources; exact same thing. On top of that, online you have the entire world that you can ask for assistance and perspective on issues, rather than maybe one professor and potentially some tutors.
