Why OS like Linux,Ubuntu,Backtrack not being use like iOS,Windows & Chromebook?

I've been using Linux for 3 years, Arch Linux more precisely. First of all, Linux isn't an OS, is a kernel, where distributions like Ubuntu run over it. Not all people is prepared to maintain a Linux system. I need to say that today there are distributions prepared for noob people, like Ubuntu, but is not normal. Also there are many compatibility problems in programs! It is not for all users, read a lot!
