Where should I even begin..?

Hi, I am interested in beginning to learn how to code. I would love some insights on where to begin, and what the benefits of learning to code are! Thank you:] Any information is greatly appreciated!

If you want to be a web coder ( creating websites, etc. ) You should start with HTML. If you want to learn a programming language, you should learn Ruby or Python.

For web development start with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
For beginning with programming in general, choose Python or Ruby.
If you want to program Android apps, Java is your best choice.
