"Unnecessary" notifications in the SoloLearn app

The SoloLearn app pushes out a few notifications now and then. One thing I have noticed is that some of them are kind of "unnecessary" (in my opinion). Isn't the main function of a notification to update the user and attract the users attention to the app? Then why are some of the SoloLearn notifications caused by direct user interaction inside the app. One example is the notification about the completion of a course. Why would I need that kind of information when I was the one completing it? Thoughts?

:) Good observations Mathiazom! I, as a fellow user, disabled push notifications long ago so have not noticed any of the behaviour you describe. You can provide feedback on this issue directly to sololearn via info@sololearn.com if you want. I am sure they would appreciate any feedback you can provide.
