I think it depends more on the user, rather than the OS. It's true that most viruses target Windows, but if you're internet-smart and have common sense, then you can be virus free. For example, if you're the sort of person that clicks on random links, opens dodgy looking emails or downloads things you shouldn't, then it doesn't really matter what OS you use.

What? Windows even tells you that the file you are about to execute is from the internet, and waits for confirmation. Most Linuxes do no such thing. Making an OS user-friendly *is* the way to make it more secure. Sure you can hack into the deepest depths of any Linux OS and turn it into a castle, but 99% of people don't know anything about computers and that includes people on Sololearn. sudo ufw enable is not enough.

In my opinion it is. On Linux when you download any kind of file it doesn't have the right to execute it (in Windows there is no problem for file to execute just after you download it). That is why you are more protected from viruses unless it lures you into executing it ^^

exactly... and ## making windows too much user friendly makes it more vulnarable..less safe
