Is c# is more used in game programming than java?

I want to learn c# for making games in unity 3D Engine.

of course c# is better than java in game programming. because there variety of 2d and 3d game engines that use c#. like Unity,monogame,flat red ball,wave engine even cry engine ( some of this engines are at ng best game engines). but when you chose Java you have not many options it 's only jmonkey engine and libgdx.
in addition c# is more modern and structured than java.
( unity support c# and javascript)

The only game I know which is progeammed in java is minecraft whereas other high graphic games are programmed in c++/#.
Android is also java so fir android games you'll need it.
You could also try to develop a minecraft mod, it's pretty simple.
But in my opinion creating textures gets boring very quickly; )
