I've started learning c++ but I don't see how it's gonna be helpful?

When you type c++ in google search you see a lot of cool stuff and video games and all, but when I see tutorials, it's just a black board. How do they do this? Is it really hard to make video games? Cuz it looks like it's a long way 'till I be able to do that.

It really is. I personally would recommend you to start making games with Javascript which would guide you a lot And here is the perfect tutorial for that: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLh-MBXZEiyMhulEqYE3gn63idSAKG6Sx1 Good luck!~

Java and Javascript are completely different languages and Javascript is for web If you wanna make windows executables I recommend c# or c++, but once again you should probably start with making browser games

the C++ programming languages is actually big. To answer your question (I will answer it based on what I know): (1) They use libraries. There's a lot of them out there for every specific projects. (2) It's hard, but if you really want to create one, you can overcome everything. Just continue studying and reading books and tutorials. Challenge yourself and set a goal to make. Lastly, enjoy coding. Don't rush.

But isn't java for android? I wanted to learn java but I mostly wanted video games on ios or windows (and I chose windows, so c++) but I'm guessing it's a lot of work until I make my first video game. I guess I'll try to work hard. Thanks guys!
