are tag <sub> and <sup> same?? if not, what makes they different?

I wrote those tag, and ran it. I think, there is no specific differential about them.

You may have made a typo, <sub> and <sub>? They are the same tag. If you meant <sub> and <sup>, sub is text which is lowered slightly below, often used for maybe elements e.g. O2 for oxygen; the 2 would be in a <sub> tag. As you may have guessed, sup is the opposite, where the text is raised slightly, such as in dates e.g. Friday the 21st; st will be in <sup>.
