Not really, but it is still widely used in penetration testing, scientific computing. Javascript is the future of programming imo. You can develop web apps fully using only Javascript.

Python is used as a basis for other programming languages. It gives you the knowledge to learn other languages like PHP and SQL and Java. Those are the inportant ones.
