I don't know whether i made a mistake starting with c++ and planning to look into html. Please advice

HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Do you want to make Mobile apps?
Java for android.
Swift for IOS.

Do you want to make an AI
Python is easy and useful for AI

Final thoughts:

Don't start With C++ it will make you want to quit.

Python is very good for Intro to Programming.

HTML is a markup language for website which is also very easy.

Java is medium. You can start with Java or Python.

Seek help from people.
At first everything is grey.
slowly it will saturate.
Watch youtube videos.

C++ falls under the Software development category and HTML falls under the Web development category. There's no harm in learning Web development and Software development, the only harm comes when you're learning something you have no passion for.
