How to handle trolls on SoloLearn?

I read some articles (surprised?) about trolling on social media. Here is one I especially liked about handling trolls: http://blog.hellosocial.com.au/blog/social-media-trolls We had some cases of trolling recently and the number of trolls will increase with the community. My submission is to totally ignore them and call the mods for help on the Discord server: https://discord.gg/MEjFNcC Attention feeds the troll! Your thoughts? Did trolling ever affect you on SoloLearn?

Zero troll tolerance mode ON 👹🔫 As one wise SoloLearner said, we have to look after each other. Some of us are well underage, thus more vulnerable and susceptible to trolling, harassment and bullying. There will be no more of that 👮

Tashi (and the rest of moderators) could you please help me report this guy called "Accelerato"? He's been harassing me with really annoying and dirty stuff in english and spanish, and I see he's been stalking other girls as well. Apparentely he's had several accounts that have been banned but he keeps creating new profiles, he rapidly changes names and locations. So like you recommended to handle the situation, ignoring trolls works that's why I won't confront him, I would simply block him but it won't help me stop him from attacking other girls. Thank you. This is his profile: https://www.sololearn.com/Profile/6153380/?ref=app

Vielen dank, Tashi. Trolls are cyber-bullies. Usually when you crack the nut's surface, it's empty or rotten. I pitty them. Considering SL community is formed by mainly petit ones, this is a test for them. But they will win, I trust. *thumbup*

I used to be a pretty bad troll back in my 4chan days. You know what a trolls worst enemy is? Complete apathy. Pretend they're not there. They'll get bored and move on eventually. I figure this is common sense but apparently most people never grew up on sticks and stones.

I consider myself as a good troll who is pretty much harmless but of course I can be sarcastic time to time. I will just put notable features of a troll you should consider 'john cena" 1) attention seeker 2) make dumb comments and pick fights for no reason. 3) huge spammer that makes you wanna throw him in space. 4) gets more active in trolling to the point of pure cringe when gets a "little" attention. 5) dies faster when everybody present completely unsee them. (though most likely they will keep going in hopes somebody notices them but eventually their battery will run out and they will disappear.) I know I am stating obvious here but that kinda people, normal folks should watch out from.

Your intention is good, but how do you recognise trolls. I had never even heard of trolls before I joined Sololearn. And it is not enough if one person ignores a troll, everybody should do that. Another thing is nasty trolls, I don't think ignoring those will be good, there are many underaged sololearners. They should be protected.

I will give my answer in the style of JS. <script> var trolls ="stupidity"; var SoloLearn ="World of Programmers."; document.write ("There is no place for"+trolls+"in"+Sololearn); </script> Output:There is no place for stupidity in the World of Programmers. That's why you haven't and you wouldn't find a troll ever in Sololearn. Trolls are just dumb people and comes in sight when you are in an online game or chat room. They think of themselves as Kings because they have reached a high level in a game. Just ignore these creatures of stupidity, they are just gonna make fool of themselves in life.

just behave normally as you always do. Normal behaviour is like a silent ignorance. If troll sees that his behaviour has no impact to other people he'll just stop doing it. I hope he won't become worse :D
