Quick to learn, years to master. I approach my learning with the perspective I'll never learn a language completely, I'll only become more competent with time.

Learning is a never ending process u can learn basics in just few days but needs atleast 3-6 months for perfection. and there is always a room to learn something I am still learning.

for me it took 5 months to learn the web trinity, so divide that by 3

It depends on the language. It can range from a few months to 3+ years. However, mastering the use of the language is a different story. It can take your whole career before you truly know how to code. You really be learning all your life when you are programming.
