Can you write Python in notepad?

That'd be like asking your cat to clean the car: you can, but there's not much point. Think of Notepad as a piece of paper, you can tell it to remember something, but don't expect a response. IDLE is more like a spouse, you can tell it to do just about anything, but you need ask just the right way or there'll be trouble.
