Java vs Python IN FUTURE

Question

By some statistics there is more salary for Python developer than for Java developer. But there are more possibilities in java and there are more developers with Java skills, while Python is just getting stronger and is easier to learn. And there is the question: which one of them should the beginner choose?

Joey, if the person only wants to find a job with long-term programming language looking in future and doesn't want to create something?

Given those two choices I would prefer Python unless I wanted to design Android apps in which case Java.
