What code is the best to learn first as someone completely new to coding?

I was told python was best for your first code and so far I have done best learning that one, but I wondered if anyone else had different opinions.

I agree, Python has a syntax that is pretty straight forward and easy - also it's quite easy to understand compared to other object oriented languages like c++, c# and even Java Beyond this, there are a lot of libraries and you can really do a lot with Python. If I would need to start all over with programming, I'd go for it :)
