Lots of practical practice. Decide what kind of web development you want to do; front-end, back-end, full-stack. You should research your local job market to find out what kind of junior developer positions are available and read the job descriptions for those positions to find out what tech those companies are using. Once you've gained some information about these things, start learning the tech and build a personal portfolio web app with a blog. Then blog about all the stuff you're learning as you go. This will end up serving as a glorified resume when you go to speak with potential employers. When you land your first dev job you'll be set. You'll be in a position where you can learn a lot more, a lot quicker and be able to put some money in the bank while doing it.
