Is it New or Old language?

I hear about Python recently, is it new language or older than Java? someone has some historic?

python was first developed by guido von rossum in the 1990s. it has become popular today because it is a high level language which means we dont have to worry about low level implementations like in c. pretty much all modern cpus can run python easily, but back in the 1990s that wasnt the case. because it is a high level language, python does a lot of its implementation behind the scenes.
