how do i connect social icons to my account on my webite so that people can message me or reach me.

you can use the a tag, I'm sure you knew that because you tagged it in the post but if you are asking to make it like a button, you can just style the thing in css

i would do it in js with a some sort of "on click" inside a button class. i think that even html5 alone have interacions like that tho
