c++ is fast and can use many opportunities of the OS (operating system), but it's hard to learn and platform dependent. Java is rather slow, but easy to learn and platform independent. You have to put everything into classes, that sucks sometimes. Python is very easy to learn. It can be compiled like c++ or platform independent like Java. But the compiler has weaker optimization than the c++ compiler. There is a really, really, large set of libraries. And most of them are easy to use. I prefer c++ because it has no restrictions but the hardware and the OS. You have the control, and if there is a bug, it's your bug which you can fix. And if you fully understand the language, you have very powerful tools.

For me it's Python. I like The intending structure and I think it's very easy to read. Also it is very powerful. but in some cases very slow.

Well, it's Java, but all are good and it depends what you prefere :) A compiled code for a dedicated machine that we have with c/c++ must be faster than the interpreted. I prefere Java. Platform independent, easy to learn, powerfull and elegant (if you want).
