Very much depends on a company you work for and software or applications they use. Python is used in back-end operations, data analysis, machine learning/deep learning, networking, automation, IoT and more.

python is cool for data science and stuff like that. i dont say that you wont become a software dev with python skills but those ppl from software are using some other languages i think?

if you would like to write software consider lesrning wpf or xamarin if you want to do cross platform or learn atom(html. js and css) and make cross platform apps

the more you learn the more you know, but if you want to make software and you are a beginner you should take one language into consideration and make apps with it

for windows apps consider using wpf. its pretty nice and clear way of everything plus you habe all .NET libraries
