Which programming language should one start with?

Which programming language should one start with?
Which one is the easiest to learn?
Which one should an aspiring app creator start with? What if they don't specifically write the code but want to be familiar with it when it is written?

Start with some web based languages. like HTML, CSS, and Javascript. those are the ones I started with and they seem to be easier than others :)

html would be general to want to learn but i believe it could be learnt easily at any point -- knowing html5 i think is a major point regardless of your goal.
i'd say a language (i'm sure there's many ;P) that'd meet your criteria would be python. python is easy-to-learn, increasingly recommended to beginners, and has easy-to-recognize syntax. many app developers use this language.
