how difficult is it to learn java?

Not much really. You just need to understand a few concepts, some common to other languages, some are not. And you have to get used to a bunch of 'rules', java is a robust and safe language, so you'll have to follow certain rules, and some low level language 'features' such as declare variable types and such.

It is very very difficult. If i knew how difficult it is I would never start learning it.

C++ and Java are very similar except of memory handling. not sure why you don't understand cplusplus.
