Math certainlly helps make life easier for a programmer, but you don't need to be amazing at it. I do however recommend you take atleast precalculus. In truth, you don't even need to know advanced math, there's pre-defined libraries and functions that can do everything for you. Up to you if you want to know how they work and be as optimal as possible. But again, don't worry if you're not good at math, focus on understanding things and you can become a great programmer. Heck, programming will even improve your mathematical capabilities. Whether you decide IT or this is completely up to you though, and depending on what you want to do in programming, you WILL have to deal with math related things.

A 6 year old can program. You don't need to be good at math unless you are programming something math related.
