Why did you choose programming?

I'm wondering why so many people are switching to programming everyday, so I wanted to know why you chose it amidst all other careers.

I was so interested in nes then later PlayStation games when I was a kid. Then I always dreamed about creating a game myself in the future. When I was at first grade of highschool, I started to learn flash development software called 3D Flash animator, I almost figured out every part of that software (like drawing a character, image, animate them, using built in functions etc.) except one thing: Programming. Coding looked so difficult to me because I thought I could learn codes and their meanings on my own just like I did learn all of the other features of the software by myself. I also had no internet connection at that time. So I could not research about coding. Those actionscript codes looked always complicated to me at that time. Then years later when I was like 18, I started to make money from the net with affiliate marketing, SEO, blogging etc. So I had to use a lot of tools and programs for internet marketing, then I became so interested in those tools, and wanted to develop those kind of tools myself, so I learned programming with ebooks, YouTube videos, other example codes etc. And I am selling software on the net to marketers since then. I have been doing this job for almost 8 years now. So that is my story.

Programming grabbed my attention when I was busy doing math. I was using variables and if statements in math before I even knew what Programming was. So technically I was Programming before I was even aware of it. My math teacher told me it looks like programming and I got very excited and the learned how to's on the Internet

I easily get bored in class and usually physics.. I always do maths just to keep myself from being idle.. later I realised that reading pure science was the problem.. I should have read technical instead.. I was looking for dexterity I guess.. so in my second year in senior high school.. I started bugging my ICT (ICT was like a course you won't write exam on) tutor on how to communicate with other computers without using internet.. from there.. I felt for html as if it was female counterpart.. I loved it.. I started on YouTube.. w3schools.. I took the opportunity after school to see what I can dig.. since then, sololearn and I are co-equals.. you teach me, I learn...

I'm learning it to develop my own website (I couldn't find a premade theme that I liked). So far, it's going well!
