What can I create using python programming language?

Over time I have been on python's tutor lessons, having in mind that someday I might have to create an Internet application or who knows a gaming application or something like Facebook but it hurts me recently to realize that python might not do these things. So what can I achieve with Python or should I skip it for maybe Javascript classes?
