How do you get better at php challenges?

Question

I am not very good at limited time programming. When I see a PHP code with lots of maths in the challenge I just can't understand, always answer something random in hopes it's the good one. It's just too hard for me. Those %, ++, []...
I'm getting PTSD from all these maths.
Stuff like this: http://justelisha.livehost.fr/Screenshot_0.png is like impossible... how do you learn do resolve a code like that?

lots of practice. moreover not everyone is good at competitive programming so don't beat yourself over it.

alright, I guess I'll sacrifice a bit of some easy XP to focus on practicing.

yeah do that. but also try and write more codes. the more you write, the more you get familiarize with the logic.
