ANSI 89 vs ANSI 92

Seriously ? Why this app is watching us the old norm (1989) and not the new (1992) ? The new : FROM table1 JOIN table2 ON table1.id = table2.id the old : FROM table1, table2 WHERE table1.id = table2.id With a lot of tables, one of them norm is better ! !

As per my experience, I have seen MS SQL and Sybase coders generally use the JOIN (1989) format and guides also use that. While Oracle coders use 1992 format and guides also use the same. Oracle still supports both formats and it hardly matters which one is new. It's only about one was taught as and he/she is more comfortable with.
